PALS is a bar, brasserie and night spot which gets very popular in the evenings.
Hmm Pals, where do i start, been around for at least 6-8 years now. Cateers for the 21-30 ish age group. Personall ive had some fun nights here, but as age got the better of be ive kinda grown out of it. The door are ok, nearly always polite. The drinks a re slightly overpriced. The whole club consists for 3 floors with 3 different types of music. Unfortunately, at times when its not so busy they dont open the best top floor, but thats just a gamble you take. Pals by day is really nice, as you can sit outside and have wine and nibbles, at reasonable prices (food is basic but well presented). Ive had some really fun nights in here, when i was in my 20's, dont think it caters for over 30's ...
Pals is all right. That's about the essence of this review. A pub/bar/nightclub that is always busy on the weekends. It is a decent size that has three rooms suitable for various music types and conveniently located at the heart of Ipswich and all of its nightlife. In the day it offers a quiet and friendly atmosphere with a nice selection of food and helpful staff who are very much hands on. It also doesn't have a reputation for trouble or violence as the bouncers do a most wonderful job of keeping the place in check. It is almost worth paying the slightly expensive drink prices for all these benefits.
